The football section of Djurgårdens IF was formed in 1899. Starting from July 21, 2013 in front of 27 789 fans, 3Arena now hosts all home games of the legendary football club carrying a legacy of twelwe Swedish championships.

Hammarby Fotboll

Since 2013, Hammarby Fotboll plays all their home games on 3Arena after moving from their old venue, Söderstadion. The inaugural game was played on July 20, 2013 against Örgryte IF in front of a passionate crowd of 29 175. The football section of Hammarby IF was formed in 1915, and the club has won the Swedish Championships once, in 2001.
